New Online Bill Payment Features

On March 25, 2007, CheckFree Web RXP will be released.  It will contain new features and enhancements that will enrich a user’s bill pay experience. The new features and enhancements listed below describe all updates to the CheckFree Web RXP user interface.

Payment Assistant

The Payment Assistant is a new component that will display on the right-hand side of the Payment Center screen to assist the user in making payments. The Payment Assistant helps the user advance from basic capabilities of online bill pay to more advanced features as they gain experience, such as automatic payments and bill presentment.

The following screenshots illustrates the new Payment Assistant feature:

Ebill Trial Period

CheckFree Web RXP supports enhanced e-bill functionality and gives users the option to enroll in an e-bill trial period. E-bill trial period capability is supported at a biller level.

The trial period allows users to sign up for e-bills without having to immediately turn off paper bills (for a biller that normally requires paper suppression as part of the e-bill sign up process). After a biller-specified period of time (generally 90 days), users must elect to turn off paper bills or the e-bill feature will be automatically cancelled for that biller.

Trial period users are notified via e-mail and in-product messaging 14 days before the trial period ends. The trial period status is also continually displayed in the product. Supporting changes, such as displaying the amount of time remaining in the e-bill trial period and giving subscribers paper suppression functionality, have also been made.

• E-Bill Download Functionality

In CheckFree Web RXP, users may have the ability to download and save a copy of their e-bill to their computer in PDF format (as available per each biller). A download link will display on the top frame of Bill Detail if applicable for that particular biller. Also included will be a link to download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader needed to view the e-bill.
